Dr. Heidi Klessig, a board-certified anesthesiologist specializing in pain management writes: "Dr. Ari Joe, a clinical professor of pediatrics and critical care at the University of Alberta, has found at least 12 patients whose hearts restarted without any medical intervention after as much as 10 minutes of cardiac arrest, and some of these patients made a complete recovery."
Klessig gave a further example. "In 2020, the heart of a young woman who had been declared dead by circulatory criteria was noted to have restarted during the removal of her kidneys, as she began to gasp for breath."
Dr. C.W. Bogosh and Dr. Heidi Klessing wrote a book that is be called: "Harvesting organs & Cherishing Life" and they wrote: "We contend that the "brain dead" organ donor is biologically alive! The UDDA criteria have remained controversial. Most recently, the Center for Bioethics at Harvard medical school held a conference in 2018 to re-evaluate the 50-year legacy of their rede.nition of death. The consensus of the conference was that the UDDA is best used as a legal instrument to represent death in the US, not as a way to describe death as a biological occurrence. Organs, unlike tissues, can only be harvested from a living donor. We affirm that the "brain dead" organ donor is biologically alive, and the Harvard conference participants agree with us. Thus, it is morally reprehensible to use these biologically alive people as a source of spare parts. So called "brain death" is a legal fiction, and we need to protect these vulnerable people from being brutally murdered by the harvest of their organs."
